Lots of Cameras

Well I got a small amount of money so I bought 2 eos 300d's great cameras, I also got a 300 to go with them. In use i found I realy needed image stabilisation of some kind, given the Konika Minoltas have t built in I bought a 5d and sold most of the eos lenses and one body. The last 300d with the super Tamrom 18-200 lens got stolen from my camper. I bought a Tokina 28-70 f2.6-2.8 zoom to go with the 5d a superb lens. I got a dynax 5 as a back up. I also picked up off the bay an aps slr for occasional panoramas. In San Francisco a small Fuji was bought and at the begining of this year an Olympus 5050 was bought. I since got 2 Zorki 4ks and Minolta nicely recalled the 7i for a free repair well out of warrenty. I sold the Sony could not get on with it. So as of this moment the bags contain
KM 5d with 18-70, 28-70, 70-210, 80-200, 28mm and 50mm and a dynax 5 with 28-80 on
Canon EOS 300 with 50mm.
Cosina CSM with 28, 50, 70-150 plus an old Praktika
Minolta Dimage 7i plus fish eye
2 Zorki 4k's with 2 different 50's
Minolta s100 with 25-150
Olympus 5050
My wife now has the Fuji

Well I spent a long time away, My pc died and by the time I had the cash to replace I forgot my login details so I started another blog here http://my.opera.com/Alex1966/blog/ but Ill now continue this in parallel

New cam

Oh dear my minoltas gone I switched it on nothing, so I had to replace it, I got a nice Sony off ebay, a 707 its superb and so far it works better than the minolta in many ways but Im not sure about the ergonomics of it but Im getting used to it. I miss the 28mm equivillent wide angle. All in Im quite happy with it

Camera

Well my old camera arrived. I am quite pleased, a camera 3 lenses 3 filters a flash and a book for £33 (including postage) aint bad. It works so what more could I want. Ill put up some pics shortly

An new old camera waiting

Ive bought an new old camera its nothing fancy just an old Cosina CSM bought off ebay with a couple of lenses. Ive been looking for one for a long time, it was the first slr I owned, but sadly it went missing going through security in JFk airport 24 years ago. well Im looking forward to it being in my hands.

My Cameras

I have 2 cameras and a camera phone, the phone has been a letdown, the other cameras are a simple agfa digital .3meg I used to keep this in the glovebox but now have no car so its going in arecord bag. its only usefull for snaps. The other is a Minolta Diamge 7i out of date but still a workable machine. Its one great weakness is its speed (it takes for ever to write raw's or tiffs to the card) but the quality is great. I have a couple of extention lenses for it that give me a working range between a fish eye (about 8mm) to medium telephoto (about 340mm). the tele lens rarely gets used but the wide is with the camera 95% of the time. It does almost all I need and when it gets replaced it will prob be the updated version ( A1 or A2). I would like to get a film camera (I had to sell my last slr) but I think ill go for a rangefinder for the size advantage, I may even get one with a fixed lens. Although a leica would be nice.
